About East Coast Surf School
Experience the fun of riding a wave with Prue and her friendly and dedicated team of instructors. East Coast Surf School can tailor programs to suit corporate social occasions, surf camps, birthday parties, progressive lessons or a surfing experience. Individuals and groups are welcome. All we require is that you can swim.
Cost: $50 per lesson (Equipment Inc.)

Equipment Supplied
Safe, soft and stable surfboards that are easy to balance, paddle and surf on for beginners. Fibreglass surfboards for more advanced surfers. Full length wetsuits, booties and helmets.
All you need to bring is bathers, sunscreen and a drink, as well as several dollars in coin to pay a small parking fee required at the gate of our various lesson locations during the summer period!
Instructors
The East Coast Surf School team are fully qualified (Surfing Australia- Level 1 Surf Coaching, Surf Rescue Certificate and First Aid) fun, friendly and enjoy teaching surfing because they all love to surf themselves!
Prue Latchoford is East Coast Surf Schools proprietor, principal coach and 2001 Australian Women’s Masters Champoin.
Location
Most lessons are based at Point Leo however depending on the best and safest conditions they may be held at any of the magnificent surf beaches on the Mornington Penninsula. As some of these beaches are state or national park, some do incur a parking fee and there are no pets allowed East Coast Surf School surf lessons.
